Triwood Barre Fitness Class uses a combination of postures inspired by Ballet and other disciplines like Yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. The Barre Class incorporates light handheld weights to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work.

*Please bring a mat and wear flexible clothing*

Pilates

Wednesday

5:30 - 6:30 pm

Instructor:

Shannon Stark

The Pilates method of movement is a system of exercises which improve physical strength, flexibility, and enhance mental awareness. In these classes we prioritize keeping proper form and engaging the right muscles during each movement. We use props such as resistance bands and loops, weights and small stability balls. All levels are welcomed as the exercises can be layered to increase or decrease challenge.

*Please bring a mat, comfortable clothes and get ready to achieve core strength and stability as well as to improve posture, balance and coordination*

Hatha Yoga

This class is designed to accommodate all levels of fitness and yoga experience. It introduces the foundations of yoga postures, such as proper alignment and sequencing, developing students’ strength, flexibility, and stability. Using postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and concentration techniques (dharana) we focus on bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind.

Yoga Exposure

In this flow class, we focus on cultivating the breath and a steady mind while exploring a core sequence of postures in a safe and meditative environment. Students are encouraged to listen to their bodies and to adapt the practice according to their needs: modifying postures, taking rest, and delving deeper into postures when appropriate. This is an all levels class and everyone is welcome.

Spin Yoga

Join us for 30 minutes of spin followed by 30 minutes of restorative yoga. This is great way to both improve your heart health as well as stretch your muscles and relax your body. This class is appropriate for all levels, even if you have never done spin or yoga before, and is perfect for individuals looking to improve their overall health.

Please note we no longer accept Groupon redemptions.  As of January 2019 we stopped using Groupon and we had a one-year reception window. We no longer offer drop-in classes and only offer 12-week block classes.
