Good Food Box Program

ree

The Good Food Box Program, (GFB) is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby anyone can purchase boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable price. The Good Food Box Program offers a Hands Up approach as opposed to a Hands-Out. We offer all Calgarians and those in the surrounding areas, sustainable access to nutritious boxes of fruits and vegetables, to ensure that no one has to go hungry. The boxes are assembled by dedicated volunteers, who along with The Community Kitchen, work to see individuals and families accessing nutritious fruits and vegetables at an affordable price.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

Each Good Food Box contains a combination of fruits and vegetables. The content varies weekly, due to seasonal availability. There are 3 different sized boxes at various prices: Small ($30 for 15-20lbs), Medium ($35 for 25-30lbs) and Large ($40 for 35-40lbs) boxes. The boxes contain the maximum produce to ensure our clients are getting the most value for the price.

HOW TO ORDER

Visit our Good Food page (https://www.triwoodcommunity.com/good-food-box) and select the dates you would like to order the Food Box in the form. We will email you an invoice that will have to be paid one week prior to pick up (when we submit the orders). You will be able to pick up at the community association until 5 pm on pick-up day.

We acknowledge that Triwood Community Association and surrounding communities are located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney-Nakoda peoples (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney First Nations). This is also home of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 and 6. As residents of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, we seek to live, work and play in ways that honour and respect the spirit of the treaties and the lives of our Indigenous neighbours.
