Barre 

 

INSTRUCTOR: Armela Duna

Beginning Feb 8th, 2021, for a 7-week period, students will meet online for a motivating & challenging barre class with Armela. Armela is passionate about fitness and teaching at all levels. She uses a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates to provide a well-rounded class that will keep you on your toes moving from exercise to exercise focusing on different muscle groups. Students will use a chair to assist with balance while being able to focus on isometric exercises, learning to hold their bodies in positions while contracting a specific set of muscles during high reps of small range motion exercises. Barre will make you sweat, burn calories, increase flexibility, and develop coordination.

Hatha Yoga

 

INSTRUCTOR: Silvia Illiano 

Beginning February 8 2021 for a 7-week period, students will be able to meet Silvia on the mat from the comfort of their own home. Triwood Fitness classes will be offered online via zoom until the end of March as the community association remains closed.

 

Silvia has an extensive background in teaching yoga and is passionate about her student's success. Her Monday, 645pm Hatha yoga pairs breathing exercises and postures, enabling participants to deepen their practice and prepare their bodies for everyday movement. Yoga is an excellent mind, body, spirit exercise that not only increases flexibility and is designed to calm your mind, increase your confidence, and learn to feel comfortable in your body while pushing yourself to new limits.

Restorative Yoga

INSTRUCTOR: Silvia Illiano 

Triwood Fitness Classes are being offered live online for February and March 2021. Join Silvia's Restorative Yoga class from the comfort of your home. This class is specifically designed for when you feel fatigued, weak or stressed from daily life. It consists of gentle floor based sequences, using props that completely support your body to fully relax the muscles, slow down the mental activity of the brain, shift emotional patterns, bring ease to the breath, and tune into the nervous system’s healing capacity. Restorative yoga enables deep relaxation as you hold poses for longer periods of time, typically 5 to 10 minutes. Additionally, each of the restorative yoga poses moves the spine in different directions, putting into practice the ancient yoga idea that a healthy spine promotes well-being.

Wednesday

Pilates

INSTRUCTOR: Cristina Garcia

 

Beginning February 3, 2021, for an 8-week period,  join Cristina on your mat from the comfort of your own home. Fitness classes will be offered online until the end of March as the community association remains closed.

 

The Pilates method of movement is a system of exercises that improve physical strength, flexibility, and enhance mental awareness. Throughout the 1 hour class, Cristina prioritizes teaching participants proper form engaging the right muscles during each movement. Pilates improves posture, balance and coordination by practicing small, controlled movements. is Props such as resistance bands and loops, weights and small stability balls are often used in class. All levels are welcomed as the exercises can be layered to increase or decrease challenge.

Yoga for a Better Back 

INSTRUCTOR: Silvia Illiano 

Beginning Feb 3, 2021 - Hit the mat at home, joining Silvia to practice Critical Alignment Yoga Therapy, developed in the Netherlands by Gert van Leeuwen. Wednesdays, from 530 - 630pm Silvia's class will be offered online through zoom. . This practice integrates yoga exercises, the use of specific props, and breath awareness to release the tension and soften the tissue around the spine, to free the bone structure into a better posture. This is a highly effective way of working with injury, pain, or reduced mobility. This class will help you restore postural alignment and correct muscle imbalances, increase mobility in the hips and shoulders, reduce pain and tension and mobilize and strengthen the spinal column.

Thursday

Yoga Flow 

INSTRUCTOR: Savannah Bittner

 

Beginning February 4, 2021 for an 8-week period, students will be able to join Savannah on the mat from the comfort of their own home to flow trough postures, trimming, and toning the entire body. A variety of Postures are practiced each class uplifting your emotional being while aligning and strengthening your body. Flow yoga is an uplifting class that incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas.

THURSDAY - 6:00-7:00pm 

February 4 - March 25, 2021

*Please be on your mat and ready to begin class at 6 pm! 

Cycle

Triwood Cycle classes are one hour of intense cardio! The classes are targeted towards improving health and fitness through the use of stationary bikes and music. The intensity will vary throughout the class using different body positions including hill climbs, sprints, jogs, and coasting. 

Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we will not be running spin classes at this time.
