Picture Day at Triwood: Thank You for Coming Out

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming students and families to Triwood for a special Picture Day pop-up. With the recent teacher’s strike delaying school photos, we know how meaningful those yearly portraits are — and thanks to the generosity of Holly from Bumblebee Photography, we were able to offer families a chance to keep the tradition on track.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, showed up in your best outfits, and brought your biggest smiles. It was wonderful seeing so many kids and families come through.

We’re grateful for the community spirit that made this possible, and thrilled we could help keep picture day alive this year!

We acknowledge that Triwood Community Association and surrounding communities are located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney-Nakoda peoples (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney First Nations). This is also home of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 and 6. As residents of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, we seek to live, work and play in ways that honour and respect the spirit of the treaties and the lives of our Indigenous neighbours.
