A Heartwarming Evening at the Annual Triwood Christmas Dinner

The annual Triwood Christmas Dinner was a wonderful success and a cherished tradition we look forward to every year. This special evening brought our community together to celebrate the season with good food, music, generosity, and connection.

We were grateful to the David Hirschman Band for providing festive live music that set the tone for the night, and of course, Santa’s appearance was a highlight for guests of all ages.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the many generous community members who purchased pay-it-forward tickets, helping ensure that others could attend and enjoy the evening as well. We are also deeply appreciative of those who donated to Triwood’s President’s Appeal fundraiser, supporting our ability to continue offering inclusive programs and events like this throughout the year. In addition, thank you to everyone who brought canned food donations for the Veterans’ Association Food Bank—your kindness truly makes a difference.

We were pleased to welcome several special guests to this year’s dinner, including MLAs Dr. Luanne Metz and Lizette Tejada, City Councillor DJ Kelly, and members of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary.

This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, staff, and the generous individuals and businesses who donated prizes for our prize draws. Thank you for your time, energy, and support - it's what make community events like this possible.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the 2025 Triwood Christmas Dinner such a memorable and heartwarming evening. We are already looking forward to next year!

We acknowledge that Triwood Community Association and surrounding communities are located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney-Nakoda peoples (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney First Nations). This is also home of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 and 6. As residents of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, we seek to live, work and play in ways that honour and respect the spirit of the treaties and the lives of our Indigenous neighbours.
