Creativity Week (3) at Triwood Summer Camp

Updated: Jul 19, 2024

On Monday morning our tots got creative by making themed toilet paper crafts in the morning, this included butterflies, bumblebees, and lady bugs!

The tots, juniors and kids showed their creativity by making drawing and painting portraits of their friend sitting beside them in the afternoon.

On Tuesday we got creative as a camp by making slime. We also got the chance to create our own games in the area for the afternoon. Many of campers LOVE to dance so we did Just Dance for the last 30 minutes of camp before pickup.

On Wednesday we tie-dyed bandanas, socks, and/or t-shirts!

And we had the pleasure of a surprise visit from one of the camper's parents, who works for the Fire Department here in Calgary! The kids got to tour the firetruck and meet firefighters on Thursday.

And to end off the week, we welcomed a PUPPET SHOW Friday morning! The campers did a fantastic job practicing their listening skills and working with their imagination to create paper puppet tigers.

We beat the heat this week by staying in shaded areas outside, reapplying sun screen as directed, drinking plenty of water and participating in indoor games. Forecast calls for lots of hot weather so we will be heading to the splash park this Friday afternoon, too.

What a wonderful week!!
