Music, Food & Community at Triwood's Dinner Concert

It was a fantastic evening filled with great music, delicious food, and even better company. Guests enjoyed a catered dinner while catching up with friends, meeting new neighbours, and taking in an unforgettable live performance from the talented 9-piece orchestra on stage.

Paying homage to one of the greatest musicians of all time, the Ray Charles Tribute Orchestra is led by Musical Director John Gray, a respected bassist and leader on the Calgary jazz scene. Featuring award-winning vocalist Thomas Alexander on lead vocals, the ensemble brought the timeless music of Ray Charles to life with a stellar rhythm section, powerhouse horn section, and two soulful backup singers. From classics like Georgia On My Mind, MaryAnn, Hit the Road Jack, and Let the Good Times Roll, the audience was treated to an evening of exceptional musicianship and energy.

Events like these are about more than just great entertainment. They bring people together and help strengthen the connections that make our community special.

Did you know that Triwood has been hosting Dinner Concerts for over 30 years? This long-standing tradition continues to remind us of the important role community spaces play in bringing neighbours together to socialize, support local arts and culture, share a meal, and create lasting memories.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success! We look forward to welcoming you back for future performances.
