Science Week (4) At Triwood Camp

Science Week at Triwood was packed with hands-on fun, creative challenges, and curious minds at work!

On Tuesday, campers explored the science behind soap—learning how it works before designing and branding their very own bars. They also took on a bridge-building challenge, testing out different materials and shapes to create structures that were both strong and imaginative.

Wednesday brought sunshine and a deep dive into biology with Little Medical School, where campers explored the digestive system through interactive learning.

Thursday’s clear skies gave us the perfect window for a surprise splash park visit—an energetic outdoor break in an otherwise rainy week!

We wrapped things up on Friday with two big STEM projects: building model lighthouses with working security systems and experimenting with flight using the scientific method.

Then, we welcomed a Mad Science guest workshop, where campers discovered that science can be slippery, squashy, stretchy, and slimy! From squishy putty experiments to the classic needle-through-a-balloon trick, and even take-home Mad Science slime, it was a messy and magical way to end the week.

From circuits to soap and slime to structures, it was a week full of learning, laughter, and discovery. We can't wait for the next one!
