Triwood's Halloween Skate!

The inspiration for this year’s event came from a photo hanging in the arena, capturing a Halloween skate hosted at Triwood many years ago. We loved the idea of bringing that tradition back to the same arena, with a few modern touches to make it welcoming and accessible for everyone.

Folks came dressed in their Halloween best to enjoy a free skate, with complimentary skate and helmet loans available for kids who needed them. Those who preferred to stay off the ice got creative with Halloween-themed button making, plus face painting to get into the Halloween fun, costume or not. And, of course, no Halloween event would be complete without treats!

Congratulations to our costume contest winners: Minnie Mouse, Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters, and our cheerful Rice Bag, who reminded everyone to “Have a RICE day!”

Some things never change, and we’re happy to keep traditions like this alive at Triwood while looking for ways to make our events more inclusive, so more families can participate, connect, and make memories together.

A big thank you to everyone who came out, dressed up, laced up, and helped us celebrate Halloween at Triwood Arena. We loved seeing our community come together and hope you had as much fun as we did!

Happy Halloween from all of us at Triwood Community Association!
