TW Animal Adventures Week at Summer Camp (7)

Animals, Circuits, and Crafts!

This week at Triwood Summer Camp was packed with hands-on learning, animal encounters, and plenty of creativity.

On Tuesday, we kicked off the week with two exciting workshops led by the Minds in Motion team. Campers explored electricity in the “Circuit Bugs” session, learning how humans use it and the basics of circuits before building their very own light-up bugs to take home. Meanwhile, older campers dove into the “Ocean in a Bottle” workshop, where they created their own miniature oceans and learned about the fascinating animals that live in them.

The fun continued on Wednesday, when Butterfield Acres brought their traveling petting zoo to camp. Campers had the chance to meet, learn about, and interact with a variety of friendly animals — an unforgettable highlight for many!

Throughout the week, campers also expressed their creativity through a series of animal-themed crafts. They made colorful crab paintings, folded animal origami bookmarks, and designed puppets to bring their own creatures to life. These projects gave everyone the chance to slow down, get creative, and take home a special memento from camp.

It was a week full of discovery, creativity, and fun. From sparking circuits to meeting barnyard buddies, our campers truly embraced the animal theme in every way. We can’t wait to see what’s in store next week!
