TW Summer Camp Week 6 Recap – Science, Magic & Wildlife!

Week 6 was packed with curiosity, creativity, and a little bit of magic! From hands-on science experiments to meeting local wildlife and learning sleight-of-hand tricks, our campers had an action-filled week of discovery.

Tuesday Workshops

  • "Ink-cognito"  – Young scientists explored chromatography, pH reactions, and even wrote invisible messages in this forensic-inspired chemistry session.

  • "Spectrum Explorer" - Using simple craft materials (and some toilet roll tubes!), campers built their own spectroscopes to uncover the hidden world of light and color.

Wednesday – Magic & Wildlife Day

  • We were fortunate to have Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation teach us about animals! Younger campers learned about Animals in Your Backyard, while older campers explored the fascinating world of Wetland Animals.

  • Magic Workshop – A professional magician revealed the secrets of turning everyday objects into tools of illusion, proving that a little practice can turn anyone into a showstopper for everyone

Thursday – Splash Pad Fun We took a break from workshops to enjoy the sun, cool off, and have some outdoor water play.

Week 6 reminded us that science can be magical, and magic can be a science of its own!
