Thank you to everyone who came out for our Community Clean Up this past Sunday and helped us give Triwood and Brentwood communities a good summer reset!!

Community Clean Up is one of those events that takes a lot of people and a lot of heavy lifting to make happen and we’re grateful to everyone who showed up and got to work - unloading cars and trucks to sorting, hauling, lifting, recycling and finding new homes for unwanted items.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers who put in the literal heavy lifting, and to our amazing community partners who helped us divert as much as possible from the landfill.

We were once again joined by our partners: Alsop metal for scrap metal recycling, Technotrash for electronics recycling, the 4th Elk Scouts group running their bottle drive and CP Alberta collecting donations, along with the volunteer team behind the local Buy Nothing Item Swap Group. We also had dump trucks from the City of Calgary to help haul everything away and keep the whole operation moving.

We're only able to provide services like this because neighbours continue to show up for one another. Whether you brought a truckload of stuff, helped sort and haul, donated your time, took something home from the swap, or simply helped spread the word - you played a part.

We hope your muscles have recovered, your garages are a little emptier, and your unwanted stuff has found a much better destination!
