Shaganappi Trail N.W. planned road maintenance

This is an update regarding the upcoming construction along Shaganappi Trail N.W., where planned road maintenance is set to take place from John Laurie Blvd N.W. to Country Hills Blvd N.W. Our contractor, ConSite Construction, is scheduled to begin milling and paving activities starting June 19, with completion in late August, pending favorable weather conditions.

During construction, crews will be working during nighttime hours, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday to Sunday, to ensure timely completion.

As work progresses, the City of Calgary anticipates several impacts on the nearby community, including construction noise and vibrations, daytime and overnight lane closures with advance signage, access to the Nose Hill Park west parking lot, and pedestrian accommodations on-site to maintain local access.

The City of Calgary plans to notify residents and businesses about the anticipated construction early next week. Additionally, they'll inform the Edgemont, Hamptons, Hidden Valley and Sandstone MacEwan, Community Associations about the upcoming construction.

They are also committed to providing regular project updates, including anticipated start and end timelines online at calgary.ca/paving, to keep the community informed about the progress and any schedule changes.
