What an incredible morning! Thank you to everyone who joined us for Triwood Community Association's Annual Stampede Breakfast. Every year, this event reminds us what makes our community so special, and this year's celebration was one to remember.
One of the most meaningful moments of the morning was hosting a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony, where we had the privilege of welcoming 50 new Canadians as they officially became citizens. It was an honour to celebrate this milestone together as a community, and we extend our warmest congratulations to each of our newest Canadians!
Everyone who came out enjoyed a full morning of Stampede fun, including live country music from the talented Jaiden Riley and The Cry Babies Band, energetic line dancing performances and lesson by Keepin' It Country, and special appearances from the First Nations Princess and the Calgary Stampede Princess, who helped make the day even more memorable.
Families had plenty to enjoy throughout the event. The City of Calgary brought one of their fire trucks for visitors to explore, along with a fun kids' craft station. Hammer Hill Stables offered popular horse-drawn carriage rides through the community, while our Show 'n' Shine featured a fantastic collection of antique and classic vehicles. Kids also had a blast creating giant bubbles and enjoying all the family-friendly activities throughout the morning.
We were also thrilled to partner with our neighbours at The Lotus Fine Indian Cuisine, who generously served free samples of their refreshing mango lassi - a delicious treat that was a big hit!! Thank you as well to Dean Stewart, Your Community Realtor, for helping support this year's event.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the morning a success. A heartfelt thank you to Global Harvest Church, Youth Central, the 4th Elk Scouts Group, and the many community volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to help cook, serve, set up, clean up, direct traffic, and keep everything running smoothly. Your generosity made it possible for us to serve thousands of free pancake breakfasts and create a welcoming experience for everyone who attended.
Events like our Stampede Breakfast are only possible because of the incredible people who call Triwood home. We are honoured to be part of such a caring, generous, and welcoming community.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!!!
