Science Week was packed with hands-on experiments, coding challenges, and plenty of "Is that how that works?!" moments.
We kicked things off with a visit from the Mad Scientist, where campers learned about polymers and made their own slime to take home. Later in the week, Minds in Motion from the University of Calgary returned for two days of interactive science workshops. Campers explored everything from soil-powered circuits and the solar system to robotics, engineering, and beginner coding using Micro, Ozobots, and Sphero robots.
The fun continued throughout the week as campers made UV-reactive ink from turmeric, built bridges, watched explosive Coke and Mentos demonstrations, and tried even more science-based activities.
While smoky conditions meant we had to adjust some outdoor plans, campers made the most of it with indoor games, an impromptu run through the sprinklers, and a lively Just Dance party after Friday's Splash Park trip was cancelled.
Excited to see what next week has in store for us!
