Sticks and Brooms Program

Triwood is excited to introduce the "Sticks and Brooms" program, which will be running every second Friday night from 9:15pm - 10:45pm at the Triwood arena.

The program is an adults only program where community members can sign up to participate in broomball and shinny community games! Dependent on attendance, the group will opt to play one game or the other on the full ice, or divide the rink in two to run parallel games of both shinny and broomball. Both sports will be played in boots only.

In order to participate, a free Triwood membership is required, along with a $30 Triwood sports fee. There is no program cost, but registration is required. Please visit our programs page for more details and registration.

We acknowledge that Triwood Community Association and surrounding communities are located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney-Nakoda peoples (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney First Nations). This is also home of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Districts 5 and 6. As residents of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, we seek to live, work and play in ways that honour and respect the spirit of the treaties and the lives of our Indigenous neighbours.
